Kids ask a lot of questions, many of which parents just don’t have the answers to. But since people don’t like to admit they don’t know things, and kids are pretty gullible, many parents will feed their kids little white lies. Sometimes it’s to change their behavior, sometimes it’s because parents don’t know the real answer, but I think mostly it’s because parents really enjoy messing with their kids for no reason. Read the lies these people were told as kids and you’ll reach the same conclusion.
Is there a single decent reason why a parent would tell their kid this?
To be fair, it take a lot to describe heaven to ANYONE. It’s easier to just tell people it’s in the sun and be done with it.
Clams = rich people chicken
Technically, that’s true. But it would also be true even if you DIDN’T eat your carrots.
How on Earth do you fall asleep with that kind of pressure looming over you?
That’s just a really fun way of saying “Stop doing that.”
